Lil Uzi Vert shares plans to retire soon

‘X0 Tour Life’ rapper Lil Uzi Vert is one of the more prevalent rappers in contemporary hip-hop. Although his music has never been of the highest quality, the artist (real name Symere Woods) is undeniably charismatic and has always been slightly endearing.

However, the Philadelphia emcee has revealed that he plans to quit music very soon. Woods received heavy backlash and negative reviews from critics after the release of his most recent project, Pink Tape, and it seems that the rhymer is tired as he proclaims his upcoming album Luv Is Rage 3 will be his “last.”

The 28-year-old rapper is currently on tour to promote the project. However, during a Chicago show, the lyricist insisted that he wants to live a “normal life.” and “take time out.”

Revealing his intentions, the emcee exclaimed, “Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album. No, relax. It’s okay […] After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”

Woods, previously alluded to this in 2019 while he was working on Eternal Atake, and posted on Instagram, “I wanna take the time out to say I thank each and every one of my supports [sic], but I’m done with music. I deleted everything[.] I wanna be normal[.] I wanna wake up in 2013. You are free.”

Lil Uzi Vert hasn’t announced the date for the release of  Luv Is Rage 3 but has been telling fans it is on the way for a long time. Earlier this year, Woods released the track ‘NFL’, which many see as the lead single of the forthcoming project.

Luv Is Rage 3 will be a follow-up to Luv Is Rage 2, released in 2017. It boasted the multi-platinum smash hit ‘XO Tour Llif3’ and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. This upcoming body of work will be Uzi’s fourth studio album.
