Lil Nas X hits back at Azealia Banks claiming he is a “bitch” who “fell off”

Azealia Banks has taken it upon herself to provide commentary on the current state of hip-hop, and this time, has her sights set on Lil Nas X. The polarising artist who, in 2019, exploded into the mainstream with his country-rap song ‘Old Town Road.’ The emcee has since become an icon as the only openly gay rapper and continues to release highly raunchy material.

However, Azealia Banks is impressed by none of this and wants lyrics from her rappers, which she feels she is not getting in any shape or form from Lil Nas X. Taking to X, the ‘212’ creator spoke about how the country-rap star “fell off so hard” and has “no bars.”

Beginning one of many tweets, Banks stated, “Lil Nas X really fell off so hard. Lmfao that little c*ntrag swore she was the tea. Bitch has NO BARS. Hahahahaahahahaa.” The New York artist has no reason for her post, but Lil Nas X was more than happy to respond.

Stooping to her level, Lil Nas X fired back at the controversial, opinionated musician, writing, “Azealia, I could never make a hit song again and you would still never in ur bussy soap-selling, chicken-sacrificing, botched body, hating ass miserable life reach a 10th of my success. Love ur music btw.”

Although the ‘Panini’ emcee was evidently infuriated in the moment, after deleting the tweet, to calm the situation Lil Nas X posted a screenshot of himself listening to to ‘Out of Space’ – a song from Bank’s 2012 mixtape Fantasea.

In a caption, he wrote, “Sending u love, Azealia. Wishing u nothing but guidance and clarity. I want u to chase ur dreams. Get on ur shit. It’s the best time – period – in music for ur art to thrive. IDC what [the] fuck shit u say about me. I wanna see u win and shine your light. U can drop this internet bully act at any time. Ur fans love u. We love u.”

However, Banks didn’t care about his wishes to calm down and hit back straight away, writing, “Where, are, your, bars…? We are not going to use patronisation to circumvent the topic here… the topic is that you cannot fucking rap son.”

She concluded,  “You’re a terrible lyricist with pedestrian musical sensibilities. We need to come to a consensus on where your talent is. Fine, we can agree that [you’re] a little piece of eye candy for these desperate old white homo’s in fashion… but where is your music bitch?”
