LAPD think Instagram post led to the killing of PnB Rock

The late rapper PnB Rock (real name Rakim Allen) was recently shot dead while eating at an LA waffle house and police handling the case believe that an Instagram post made by the rapper shortly before his murder may be the reason he was targeted.

The Philadelphia rapper who was murdered on September 12th, 2022 reportedly targeted for his jewellery while eating at the restaurant chain Roscoe’s with his girlfriend. The rapper, who was celebrated for his groundbreaking take on the trap genre, was shot multiple times during the robbery attempt and was fatally injured.

Now, the LAPD, who have been handling the case, believe that a multitude of geotagged social media posts the rapper’s girlfriend shared on Instagram during their meal may be the reason the rapper was targeted.

The since-deleted posts showed the rapper and his girlfriend eating but critically also revealed their location. A local lady who witnessed the aftermath of the murder, Reanna Moore, in an interview with RollingStone revealed with regard to the restaurant, “Celebrities come here all the time, but they usually get their food and leave. But he sat and stayed with his girlfriend. And she posted about it. I guess that’s L.A. for you. You can’t trust people.”

Although they have remained fairly tight-lipped about the case, LAPD Michael Moore told news outlets, “We believe this senseless murder occurred following a posting on Instagram”. The police are known to be looking into who may have potentially seen those photos and, furthermore, who had a motive as well. The case is ongoing, and they will divulge more if there are any major developments in the case.
