Kurupt reveals tracklist for new Death Row album
Kurupt has revealed the tracklist for his new album on Death Row Records.
The legendary West Coast rapper is set to release his next album titled Tales from the Hood on July 31st, which is produced entirely by DJ Battlecat.
Ahead of its release, Kurupt has shared the tracklist for the album, comprising 12 tracks with features from Snoop Dogg, D Smoke, BJ The Chicago Kid, Soopafly, RBX, and many others.
Tales from the Hood will be Kurupt’s first album on Death Row since Against the Grain in 2004.
The project, executive produced by Suge Knight, peaked at number 60 on the Billboard 200 chart with features from Tupac Shakur, M.O.P., Spider Loc, and others.
Dr Dre initially signed Kurupt to Death Row in 1991, and he appeared multiple times on his debut album, The Chronic, in 1992. He also featured on Snoop’s Doggystyle LP in 1993.
Kurupt crossed paths with Snoop in 1991 at the age of 19, before being introduced to Dre at a birthday party.
As well as his solo work, Kurupt also released music on Death Row as Tha Dogg Pound alongside Daz Dillinger. Their debut album, Dogg Food, topped the Billboard 200 in 1995.
Kurupt’s return to Death Row, now owned by Snoop, follows Tha Dogg Pound dropping their W.A.W.G. (We All We Got) project on the label in 2024.
