Killer Mike confirms first solo album in a decade, shares new single

American rapper and activist Killer Mike has announced a brand new solo record, his first since 2012’s R.A.P. Music. While you waiting for a full tracklist, check out Mike’s new single, ‘Don’t Let The Devil’ below.

The track sees Mike joined by his Run The Jewels collaborator EI-P, who helped co-produce the song with Little Shalimar and No I.D. It also features thankugoodsir. The new offering follows previously released singles ‘Run’, featuring Young Thug and comedian Dave Chappelle, and ‘Talk’n That Shit!’

Sharing the track on Instagram, Killer Mike posted a picture of what looks like the album artwork alongside a caption reading: “I want to time travel and tell 12-year-old #MICHAEL that he dropped a [fire] song with his rap potna El-P and had some dope Nike SB collabs on his born-day, plus he had a party. Life is great, kid. Stay focused and Don’t Let The Devil coerce ya!”

Run the Jewels, meanwhile, are set to embark on a tenth-anniversary tour this coming autumn. According to a recent press release, Killer Mike and El-P will be “performing a different set each night spanning the band’s full discography, bolstered by a plethora of special guests and surprises along the way.”
