Kid Cudi shares new song ‘Dreams I See’

Kid Cudi continues his new music spree that has accompanied him throughout 2024 with the release of his new single ‘Dreams I See’. The track accompanies his most recent comic book and comes packed with ‘Moon Man’ energy.

Rami Beatz and Matt Spatola produced the track. On it, Kid Cudi returns to his roots with a combination of rapping, singing and humming that perfectly brings the song together. The backdrop for the song is spaced out and relatively tranquil; however, it is also drum-heavy.

The lyrics also spark images of classic Cudi, as he isn’t afraid to be introspective and vulnerable with each line. He creates a dreamlike world with rhythmic lyricism that says, “In the dream I see / My life’s ups and downs, who save energy / No one but me now, no, no, sail on.”

‘Dreams I See’ has been made to accompany the latest edition of Mr Ragers’ Moon Man comic book series. The new issue, which came out on July 10th, further highlights the illustrated universe established within the Moon Man saga.

The Moon Man series follows the character Ramon Townsend, who has inadvertently become a celebrity after saving both his crew and his ship from certain disaster on a mission to the moon. While he is grateful for the attention, Townsend wants nothing more than to return to his normal life in Cleveland, but his notoriety stops him from doing this, and the events that happen on the mission constantly casts a shadow over his ambitions.

In the third iteration of the comic book series, for which this song has been made, we see Townsend begin to test the limits of his capabilities. An old friend also enters the picture, who threatens to make his life even more complicated.

The new comic book and song are also accompanied by a limited-edition clothing collection featuring four designs inspired by the comic’s artwork.
