Kid Cudi feared Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs spiked his drink over Cassie

Kid Cudi has revealed that he feared Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had spiked his drink over his romance with Cassie. The Cleveland rapper opened up about a conversation he had with Combs in his new memoir.

Earlier this year, Cudi testified in Combs’ sex trafficking and racketeering trial, which resulted in the Bad Boy mogul being found guilty of two counts of transportation for prostitution.

The reason for his appearance was related to his relationship with Cassie, with Combs accused of setting his car on fire after finding out about them. The pair later met at SoHo House to discuss the situation.

In his memoir, Cudi wrote, “He asked me if I wanted some water. I told him, ‘No,’ because I don’t know what he put in it. And also, his being pleasant was unnerving. He was doing it on purpose, trying to intimidate me.”

During his appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Cudi revealed he declined to testify twice before he was subpoenaed.

“I thought about, when I was up there. I’m here to support Cassie, and Cassie is my friend, you know, and I love her, and I wanna see her do well,” he said. “And when I saw her get married, I was so happy for her, you know, that she found someone, her person. When I saw that she was having kids, I was like, ‘Oh, this is so awesome.’ You know what I mean?

“Like, I’ve always just wanted to see her thrive and do well and be happy because I know she was living a nightmare, and I just was there to support her. That’s what kind of gave me peace with it when I sat down in that chair. It was just about, ‘Oh man, I gotta hold homegirl down and look out for her.’”

Cudi released his new book, Cudi: The Memoir, on August 12th, detailing his story of “survival through depression, addiction, isolation, and doubt.”
