Kendrick Lamar’s new album left Eminem “speechless”

Eminem has praised Kendrick Lamar’s new album which he admits left him “speechless”.

Mr Morale and The Big Steppers was released on Friday, and is the rapper’s most personal record yet. In a review, Hip-Hop Hero said: Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers is an emotional listening experience. Over 18 tracks, and 75 minutes, you understand who the real Kendrick Lamar is and see the conscious rapper in a vivid new light.

“While eyebrows were raised by some when he was announced as a Glastonbury headliner, this album confirms his superhuman literary gift. Glasto Kenny deserves every ounce of praise he receives.”

Eminem was blown away like us, and he took to Twitter to share his joy in a post in which he tagged their shared mentor Dr Dre. Shady posted: “This Kendrick album is f ridiculous. I’m speechless.”

Earlier this year, the pair of them joined forces to perform together at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in February, alongside Dre, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.

Additionally, in 2016, Lamar spoke to GQ about how Eminem changed the way he thinks about lyricism. He said: “I got my clarity just studying Eminem when I was a kid. How I got in the studio was all just curiosity. I had a love for the music, but it was curiosity.”
