Kendrick Lamar filming music video for ‘Not Like Us’ in Los Angeles

Fans are getting excited for a new Kendrick Lamar music video after the rapper was spotted filming in his native city of Compton in California.

The musician was shooting a video for one of his several Drake diss tracks – ‘Not Like Us’. It was released back in May, straight after he shared another diss on the Canadian rapper, ’Meet the Grahams’.

The pair began feuding earlier this year, delivering a good old-school-style battle of back-and-forth diss tracks. In the end, Lamar was crowned the winner, his lyrical genius proving far superior than Drake’s.

Both parties insulted each other within the songs, even going as far as to accuse each other of serious matters like abuse and paedophilia. In Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’, he addresses the rumours that Drake has a thing for much younger women with the line “Tryna strike a chord, and it’s probably A-minor.”

The track helped to cement his win in the battle, with many fans labelling ‘Not Like Us’ Lamar’s best diss. Clearly, the success of the song has spurred Lamar to make a music video for it.

In clips of the shoot uploaded by users on Twitter/X, the rapper can be seen huddled among crowds of fans all singing the words with him. Several sources have identified celebrities who were also present, including Roddy Rich, Demar DeRozan and Jay Worthy.

The music video comes shortly after Lamar united rappers and even rival gang members on stage at his legendary Juneteenth concert, ‘The Pop Out’.

He performed with artists like Dr Dre, Tyler the Creator and Schoolboy Q, with fans going wild for the euphoric display of community. “For all of us to be on this stage together, unity, from East side mother-fucking LA, Crips, Bloods, Pirus, this shit is special, man. We put this shit together just for ya’ll,” Lamar said on stage.

After winning the feud and putting on such a good show, Lamar has managed to further establish his title as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
