Kendrick Lamar describes Martine Rose collaboration as a “bucket list” moment

Kendrick Lamar has described working with Martine Rose as a “bucket list” moment. The rapper is currently on his Big Steppers world tour but still managed to take some time to praise the designer.

Lamar teamed up with Rose to help him design a new line of clothing including a leather vest based on the late, great Eazy-E’s iconic leather jacket and various other slick items.

When sharing the design images on Instagram, Lamar said: “Bucketlist to work with martine rose she camera shy but gangsta say hello to my young.”

On her own website, her bio states: “Martine Rose established her eponymous label in London in 2007. It has since evolved from a tightly edited shirting collection to an internationally renowned and critically acclaimed brand.”

Continuing: “Her innate authenticity and commitment to modernity have helped to create collections that retain their underground cult credentials while achieving global success.”

Aside from Kendrick Lamar, she has also worked with the likes of Drake and various other stars from sport and beyond as “one of the most in demand consultants and collaborators in fashion”.
