Kate Winslet claims Eminem once asked her to shave his butt
Kate Winslet has revealed a bizarre request Eminem had for her while they were filming an episode of Saturday Night Live.
The Oscar-winning actress appeared on SNL in October 2004 to promote her latest movie, with Slim Shady serving as the music guest.
Winslet was doing publicity for the fantasy film, Finding Neverland, starring alongside Johnny Depp in the Marc Forster-directed movie.
During her appearance on The Graham Norton Show over the weekend, Winslet claimed that Em asked her to shave his butt hair.
“This is a story I’ve never, never told,” she began. “Eminem asked me to shave his bottom. Well, he did. He said, ‘Would you shave my butt?’ and I said, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t do personal grooming.'”
She continued, “Like, what? I’m not gonna go with a Bic and get your crack, love. Honestly. Never told that story before, ever in my life, in public.”
At the time, Eminem was promoting his upcoming album, Encore, which was released that November on Aftermath Entertainment and Shady Records. For his appearance on the show, Em performed the Dr Dre-produced ‘Mosh’ and ‘Just Lose It’, with Winslet introducing both songs.
Despite her strange interaction with the rapper, it didn’t stop Winslet from enjoying her time on Saturday Night Live. At the International Film Festival in 2020, she said, “I loved doing SNL,” she said. “God, the adrenaline. I’d love to go back on SNL.”
2004 was Winslet’s only appearance on the show in her career, while Eminem has guested multiple times, including 1999, 2000, 2002, 2013, and 2017. He most recently had a cameo role in Pete Davidson’s final episode that aired in May 2022.
