Kanye West’s booking price for Wireless Festival revealed

Kanye West was reportedly offered a huge figure to headline Wireless Festival before it was cancelled.

Ye was set to perform three headline shows at the festival in Finsbury Park on July 10th, 11th and 12th.

According to The Daily Mail, Kanye was offered $15 million (£11 million) to come to London and put on the three performances.

Live Nation executives allegedly flew from Los Angeles to Mexico to see him perform at the 41,000-capacity Plaza de Toros México to convince him to play Wireless.

On April 7th, it was announced that Ye had been refused entry to the UK following his antisemitic comments over the years. Then, Wireless announced that the festival had been cancelled.

“As a result of the Home Office banning YE from entering the United Kingdom, Wireless Festival has been forced to cancel,” they said. “All ticket holders will receive an automatic full refund.”

Following the news, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer wrote on X, “Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.”

A source said that Wireless were advised against Kanye performing in Finsbury Park due to North London’s Jewish community. However, they allegedly “didn’t listen.”

An insider said, “They are now saying that they asked ‘stakeholders’, but this is simply ludicrous. Before they signed a deal with Wireless, they had asked about putting a show on at the Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham grounds, and both turned them down absolutely flat.”

They continued, “That should at least have shown them what a problem there was. Then there was an exploration of asking Twickenham, but it was felt to be the wrong crowd for Kanye.”
