Kanye West wears sinister mask for meeting with former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen

Kanye West has again donned a sinister mask for another public appearance, and this time it was for a meeting with Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

He was caught strolling around New York’s Upper East Side before turning up at a coffee bar with Cohen and some others. West’s choice of facial accessory looked life-like and gave him an eerie persona. He previously wore the same one a day before at JFK Airport.

Cohen is currently serving the remainder of his 2018 tax fraud sentence under house arrest. “The purpose [of the mask] was so that people would not recognise him,” Cohen told Page Six.

He added, “The first 10 minutes we sat down, he was mobbed by people… who wanted photos, and to say hello. So he put on this mask to give him some anonymity, which interestingly enough, did not really work.”

West has been wearing these bizarre masks throughout the year, and the majority of the time he’s now spotted in public, he’s in one. He even wore a Balenciaga-designed mask when he performed at the wedding of D’Estree founder Géraldine Guyot and Tiffany & Co. EVP Alexandre Arnault in Venice over the weekend, which muffled his voice.

Meanwhile, West has now officially changed his name to Ye. The artist’s petition for a legal name change was approved in a Los Angeles court on Monday.

Ye said during a radio interview in 2019, “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible. In the Bible it means you.

“So, I’m you. And I’m us. It’s us. It went from being Kanye, which means the only one to just Ye, just being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused— everything. It’s more of a reflection of who we are [as] beings.”
