Kanye West sends public message to Tyler, The Creator
Kanye West has sent a message to Tyler, The Creator for showing him love after his antisemitic comments. Earlier this week, Ye took to Instagram to share a photo of A$AP Rocky in the courtroom after he was acquitted of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, following A$AP Relli’s claim that he shot him.
One of Kanye’s fan accounts on X, @yzyupdates, discovered that Tyler had liked the post. Ye came across the news and posted it on his account, stating gratitude for his support despite others distancing themselves from him.
“My daughter’s second favorite artist still loves me,” he wrote in the caption. “As rappers we all like one big family. And I’m that n*gga that still shows out even when there’s white people around.”
The Chicago rapper received backlash earlier this month for many offensive tweets. Some of his words read, “I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT BITCHES. IM A NAZI. I SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT P*SSIES.”
This isn’t the first time Kanye has shown love to the Chromakopia artist. Ye once revealed that Tyler motivated him to make music and admitted his Yeezus album wouldn’t exist without the Odd Future founder.
“Work with your hands, it keeps you earnest,” he told Tyler in a clip from Cherry Bomb the Documentary. “You see the lines on your record in my hands right here. I’m glad you put that battery in my back when you said that line, man. That’s one of your jobs in hip-hop.”
He continued, “I don’t think there would have been a Yeezus if it wasn’t for you. I don’t think it would’ve been this verse right here if it wasn’t for you, or the shit [Lil Wayne] Wayne just did. Because it’s certain n*ggas who push you differently.”
On another occasion, Tyler revealed that Kanye was one of his only celebrity friends and claimed they spoke every week. “Kanye is one of the only few people in this industry that I consider a friend,” he told PTWSCHOOL. “I probably talk to him once a week. We both have a love for art, and we hate a lot of the same stuff.”
