Kanye West suspended from Instagram for bullying and harassment

Kanye West is temporarily banned from Instagram for bullying and harassment.

A spokesperson for the company has confirmed that the rapper cannot post, comment, or send direct messages on the platform for the next 24 hours after he racially abused The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah. It came after the comic said the predicament between Ye, Kim Kardashian, and Pete Davidson had become “terrifying to watch”.

In the wake of his comments, West repeatedly called South African a “k**n”, which according to Urban Dictionary, is a derogatory term used against a Black person who is anti-Black.

In previous posts, Ye had said he was worried that Davidson would get Kim “hooked on drugs” and said he didn’t want the comedian to meet his children because of a historic joke the SNL star made about having ‘sex with a baby’.

Commenting on Ye’s offensive post, Noah said: “Clearly some people graduate, but we still stupid. Don’t ever forget, the biggest trick racists ever played on black people was teaching us to strip each other of our blackness whenever we disagree. Tricking us into dividing ourselves up into splinters so that we would never unite into a powerful rod.”

Meanwhile, Davidson recently broke his silence on the situation and said he was “done being quiet”. The stand-up revealed he’d told SNL to not use the rapper as the butt of jokes in recent months but admitted that he’s close to stopping protecting West. He wrote: “I have your back even though you treat me like shit because I want everything to be smooth.”

The comedian added: “But if you want to continue me like you have the past 6 months I’m gonna stop being nice.”
