Yesterday, hip hop billionaire and designer Kanye West took to Instagram and decided to change his profile picture however, his choice of photo was awfully strange. After his recent appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, where he disclosed how he had a “new respect” as he stated, “This is the mother of my children, and I apologise for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration, because God calls me to be stronger.” The rapper has now chosen to change his profile picture to a photo of Kris Jenner.
However, the rapper does have an explanation for his decision and has insisted his choice to have Jenner as his new profile picture was made with pure intentions. But, fans are still very confused as it was only recently, on a rant about protecting his children, that he accused Jenner of coercing her daughters to pose for Playboy Magazine, as he proclaimed, “[I’m] not gonna let it happen to [his daughters] Northy and Chicago.”
Unlike the last time he referenced his ex-mother-in-law Kris Jenner, he has told fans that this time is different and that he “posted Kris with thoughts of peace and respect”. Telling fans and onlookers to “change the narrative.” However, the producer’s ex-wife is not happy and has indicated her mother is also not happy with her name being thrown around the internet as a result of West’s latest actions, pure or not.
Posting text messages from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, the texts suggested that Kris was unhappy that people, blogs and news outlets were now talking about her because of this change as Kim relayed on behalf of her mother a message reading, “Tell him to please stop mentioning my name. I’m almost 67 years old, and I don’t always feel great, and this stresses me to no end.”
This is not the first time Kanye West has done something seemingly erratic and plain old weird, but for those of us who follow Kanye, nothing he does can cease to amaze us as, with his crazy genius, he is consistently unpredictable. However, while the divorce still lingers, it is unlikely that West will put a halt to his shenanigans. Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s divorce is yet to be declared official, and their trial is due to begin on December 14th.
