Kanye West shares deluxe version of ‘Donda’

Kanye West has shared a new deluxe version of his most recent album, Donda, which includes a collaboration with Andre 3000.

‘Life Of The Party’ with the Outkast founder is one of five new tracks featuring the updated edition. Initially, Ye decided to leave off the track because of the swearing on Andre’s verse which is bleeped out on the newly-released mix.

“I thought it was a beautiful choice to make a clean album but, unfortunately, I didn’t know that was the plan before I wrote and recorded my verse,” André 3000 said in a statement after the track was leaked in September.

“It was clear to me that an edited ‘clean’ format of the verse would not work without having the raw, original also available. So, sadly, I had to be omitted from the original album release,” he added.

Other new tracks on the album are ‘Up From The Ashes’, ‘Never Abandon Your Family’, ‘Keep My Spirit Alive (pt 2)’, and ‘Remote Control (pt 2)’. Donda now has 32 tracks with a running time of two hours and 11 minutes.

Meanwhile, Kanye recently offered an apology to Soulja Boy for not telling the rapper his contribution to Donda didn’t make it. Ye shared a screenshot of his text to the rapper in a now-deleted Instagram post, which read, “Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.”
