Kanye West reveals scary album cover for ‘Bully’

Last month, Kanye West announced that he would be releasing a new album called Bully. Now, he has given an update about the highly anticipated project. Taking to Instagram on October 15th, the controversial producer and emcee shared audio of a new track entitled, ‘Beauty And The Beast’.

The post specified that the audio was live from Haikou, suggesting that it was recorded at his Vultures Listening Experience last month at Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, China. However, he also noted that the track was updated in Tokyo.

In the post he assured fans that Bully is “on the way.” West is going to be the only producer on the entire album, which would make it the first project he has made entirely on his own since the release of his iconic debut album, College Dropout, 20 years ago in 2004.

However, on October 23rd, West shared the official artwork of the album, which boasts a black-and-white photo taken by the esteemed 86-year-old Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama. The cover art shows a close-up of a young child rocking some grillz, very similar to the $850K titanium teeth the emcee had made earlier this year.

To obtain the absurdly expensive titanium teeth, West called upon the renowned dentist Thomas Connelly and dental technician Naoki Hayashi to produce an oral accessory inspired by the James Bond villain Jaws, known for his scary, jagged metal teeth.

It was initially rumoured the Chicago native had his teeth shaved down and partially removed. However, in an interview with Complex, Thomas Connelly later refuted, “He did not have his teeth removed. He still has a full dentition. Healthy and happy.”

The involvement of Daidō Moriyama in Bully is unsurprising, as Ye and Bianac Censori have been seen out in Tojyo numerous times. More recently, journalist Touré confirmed that the producer is starting a “fresh chapter” in Japan, where he is “living in a hotel hard at work on his next album Bully without any other producers but himself.”

Bully will be West’s eleventh studio album. However, an official release date has yet to be released, and for now, fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival on streaming services.
