Kanye West releases new video 'Hurricane'

Kanye West has shared the animated video for his single, ‘Hurricane’, which appeared on Donda.

Ye is currently in the process of releasing the sequel to his 2021 album, and it is an unconventional decision to release a video for a track from his previous record at this moment in time, but when has West ever followed the rules?

In the video for the song, which also features The Weeknd and Lil Baby, we see several animated prisoners make their escape from a prison island.

It then takes a left-field turn when a cartoon version of Ye appears from the sea and then proceeds to baptise them before giving a speech ahead of them all rising to the sky.

The video for ‘Hurricane’ is the second that Ye has released this month following ‘Eazy’. The visuals caused bundles of controversy, with many believing West took his feud too far with Pete Davidson because he kills, decapitates, and buries a claymate version of the comedian.

However, Ye strongly defended his actions. He said: “Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or ham. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”
