An unreleased clip of Kanye West has surfaced on the internet, during which he accuses Cardi B of being an industry plant sent into hip-hop by the elusive Illuminati. This is the first time Kanye has spoken down on the Bronx rapper.
The footage of West addressing the ‘Bodak Yellow’ musician is merely a snippet of a long rant on a never-before-released documentary that has leaked online. In one clip, West rants about the Invasion of Privacy artist on his mobile phone.
In this newly released clip, Kanye accuses Cardi of being an imposter who doesn’t write her lyrics. In the video, the Chicago producer exclaims, “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati! She don’t write her raps. She just there to sound as as ignorant as possible. She’s literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposely… She thinks it’s a blessing from the universe. It ain’t no f*cking blessing.”
This is not the first time allegations concerning Cardi B have been made. In 2018, during an interview, Azealia Banks made a similar statement to West’s, declaring, “They [labels] made Cardi B and launched her. They made her and launched her on Nicki.”
Many years ago, it was revealed that the ‘I Like It’ emcee (real name Belcalis Almanzar) had a writing partner named Pardison Fontaine, which led to an uproar in hip-hop. However, she has still remained a highly successful and relevant figure within the culture.
Cardi recently responded to West by posting a snippet of West praising her in a Hollywood Unlocked interview, where he states, “I’ve always believed in her since she was on the show.”
Fans have had mixed emotions. Many West fans came out defending him. One user wrote, “What’s more believable? A behind-the-doors conversation or an interview with ur friend who just coerced him to do a collab with u?” While another commented, “Oh she’s in denial.”
