Kanye West sparks outrage with KKK robe
Kanye West is continuing to cause controversy by sharing a photo of a Ku Klux Klan robe. Ye took to Instagram on March 9th to announce the return of his Sunday Service events, which featured his gospel group performing at gatherings across the US. The group paved the way for his Jesus Is King album, which was released in 2019.
However, the announcement of the joyous events was then overshadowed by a since-deleted post of a KKK robe. In the caption, Kanye wrote, “Outfit of the day.” The KKK is an American Protestant-led Christian extremist, white supremacist, far-right hate group that was founded in 1865.
This isn’t the first time Kanye has referred to the KKK. During a listening party for his Vultures album in December 2023, he wore a KKK-style hood with eyeholes, except he changed the colour from white to black. On another occasion, in October 2022, he debuted “White Lives Matter” t-shirts before stating, “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam.”
In February, Kanye admitted he was racist while praising Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party, which was behind the genocide of six million Jews and millions of others. “I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT BITCHES,” he wrote on X. “IM A NAZI. I SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANT P*SSIES.”
He went on to state that he would never apologise for his antisemitic comments while using pejorative terms.
“IM RACIST STEREO TYPES EXIST FOR A REASON AND THEY ALL BE TRUE,” he said. “I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE FUCK ANTI SEMETIC MEANS ITS JUST SOME BULLSHIT JEWISH PEOPLE MADE UP TO PROTECT THEIR BULLSHIT WAS THAT THE WRITE THERE. YOU N*GGAS SLOW. FUCKING R*TARDS.”
He continued, “IM NEVER APOLOGIZING FOR MY JEWISH COMMENTS I CAN SAY WHATEVER THE FUCK I WANNA SAY FOREVER WHERES MY FUCKING APOLOGY FOR FREEZING MY ACCOUNTS SUCK MY DICK HOWS THAT FOR AN APOLOGY”
