Kanye West’s daughter North West signs record deal

The eldest daughter of Kanye West, North West, has officially signed a record deal after releasing her first single.

North has reportedly inked a deal with Gamma, the independent music company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson.

Rolling Stone reported the news on February 18th, with a source revealing that North had been spending time in the studio.

The news comes shortly after the release of her new single, ‘Piercing on My Hand’, which is produced by Kanye and Will Frenchman.

She sings in the chorus, “Piercing on my hand, the other holdin’ bands/ No friends, just fans, you wouldn’t understand/ Shoppin’ in Japan, that’s where I always stand/ Went to school for two days, then I got banned.”

Then, in the verse, she raps, “Skippin’ school, yeah, I do that on the daily/ Jaded London fits, someone’s gonna save me/ Got some new Ricks, yeah, they are so crazy/ All my songs are hits, you know I’m not lazy.”

North joins her father as a Gamma artist, with Kanye signing a partnership deal with the company in January. His 12th studio album, Bully, is out on March 20th.

The 12-year-old has been releasing music for years. Some of her biggest songs include ‘Talking’ and ‘Bomb’ with Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign, as well as her FKA Twigs collaboration, ‘Childlike Things’.

Ye previously revealed that North made him fall in love with music again. “This little girl made me love music again,” he said in January 2025. “She asked me to make beats for her. I got back on the ASR Chopped up beats for her album and chopped every beat with my bare hand for BULLY.”

As well as North and Kanye, Gamma has boasted an impressive list of artists over the years, including Snoop Dogg, Sexyy Red, Usher, and Mariah Carey.
