Kanye West apologises to Soulja Boy after dropping his verse from ‘Donda’

Kanye West has apologised to Soulja Boy for not telling him before dropping his verse from Donda.

Ye invited an array of collaborators on the album, with Jay-Z, Pusha T, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, The Weeknd and Travis Scott making appearances on Donda. However, Soulja Boy was under the impression that he was also set to appear and was less than impressed when West cut his verse. He even referred to Yeezy as a “coward” to TMZ.

Soulja explained, “You know for a fact that Kanye’s not going to let nobody release his album without his permission, you know, just say you fucked up and left [me] off the album.”

In his recent appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, Ye addressed the fiasco and revealed that Soulja didn’t make the album because his addition was “trash”.

In response, a furious Soulja said on a livestream, “Just ’cause it’s your album don’t mean you get to pick what’s hard. Put it out and let the people decide. That shit was trash. I ain’t even heard the album yet. All my n***as said your shit was trash.”

Kanye then offered an apology to Soulja for not telling him he wasn’t going to make Donda. Ye shared a screenshot of his text to the rapper in a now-deleted Instagram post, which read, “Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.”

Soulja then accepted the olive branch and responded, “Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”
