Kanye West reveals his son told him he is “friends” with Drake’s son
The College Dropout creator Kanye West may have unveiled plans to diss Drake on his upcoming album WW3, but he recently took to X to announce that, last year, his son told him he was friends with Drizzy’s son Adonis.
On April 7th, the emcee and producer took to the site and told his fans about his son’s statement, writing, “Last year Saint told me ‘Me and Adonis are technically friends.'” This friendship (if it exists) is strange because Drake and Kanye West have not seen eye to eye for many years.
Notably, Drake’s son Adonis has been out of the limelight for a very long time, unlike West’s children, who have appeared on the Disney+ show The Kardashians and several of his tracks.
Last year, while Drake was the centre of attention due to his beef with Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West appeared on THE DOWNLOAD podcast with Justin Laboy to announce how Drizzy’s elimination was “energising” hip-hop.
Still, his approach to Drake has been highly unpredictable. In a post earlier this year, he revealed that he regretted their beef and allowed jealousy to take over. West’s post read, “I SAW A VIDEO OF DRAKE WALKING THROUGH HIS HOUSE AND SHOWING HE HAD A LIBRARY OF RYHME BOOKS,” adding, “MAN I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN AND REMEMBERED THIS WHEN MY JEALOUSY OVERTOOK ME… I LOVE DRAKE. IMA SAY THIS WHEN I DIE, I NEED YOU TO SPEAK AT MY FUNERAL.”
Moreover, in his recent interview with DJ Akademiks, while wearing a Klansman outfit, he insisted that Kendrick had no hits and asserted the Toronto rapper is a “million times better than Kendrick [Lamar] and a million times more important.”
Kanye’s post about Kanye is not surprising, as he has recently shifted much of his focus to his children. He has accused his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, of being a “sex trafficker” and, in his DJ Akademiks interview, stated, “I didn’t want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with her.”
Regardless of his relationship with Kim Kardashian, it is surprising that he has referenced Drake’s son, considering the subtle jab he threw at him on the preview of his track ‘Heil Hitler’.
