Joe Budden sued by neighbours over nude incident and share naked photos of rapper in lawsuit
Joe Budden was arrested and charged with lewdness in December for being naked in public and trying to enter his neighbour’s apartment. However, he was later cleared of the charges. Now, the neighbours are suing Budden and his podcast co-host, Melyssa Ford.
Thomas Mirigliano filed a lawsuit on behalf of John and Yuliya Aksoy, claiming Budden and Ford took part in a “campaign of intimidation and retribution” after the Aksoys complained about the disruption caused by Budden recording his podcast in the building.
According to TMZ, the Aksoys say they approached Budden about the noise and complained about him smoking weed in the common area. The couple have a young daughter and claim he was creating a hazardous health situation by leaving ashes everywhere.
Budden responded by accusing Yuliya of making racist comments towards him and claimed he had a recording of the incident, which he hasn’t provided.
The Aksoys recalled an October 19th episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, claiming Budden purposely played loud music and simulated gunshots and sirens for around eight minutes. They say Budden referred to the Aksoys as “the neighbours” and disparaged Yuliya.
The couple also claims Budden gave a false account of his attempt to enter the Aksoys’ home while he was naked, claiming he joked and dismissed the incident to the public. The lawsuit also includes photos from a door camera that shows Budden nude in the hallway.
Budden, who previously blamed the incident on sleepwalking and denied allegations that he was masturbating, was barred from the building but allegedly returned the following week. His lawyer claims the lawsuit is “a money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.”
