Joe Budden accidentally reveals how much money his podcast makes
Joe Budden has accidentally revealed earnings from his popular podcast. The 44-year-old once made a living from rapping but turned to podcasting around a decade ago, and it appears the move has paid off.
The Joe Budden Podcast, co-hosted by Richard ‘Parks’ Vallely, Lamar ‘Ice’ Burney, Antwan ‘Ish’ Marby, Melyssa Ford, Trevor ‘Queenzflip’ Robinson, and Marc Lamont Hill, is one of the biggest platforms in the hip-hop space.
The show has been running since February 2015 and has aired over 800 episodes. It tackles the biggest topics of the week.
Budden recently took to his Instagram Stories to show off his video views, accidentally showing how much the podcast was earning from Patreon.
The rapper tried, and failed, to hide earnings of over $902,000 across 30.2 million visits, although the timeframe was unclear.
Budden previously discussed how much his podcast makes during an episode. Rapper Doe Boy asked him how much he earns, to which he replied, “Altogether in the whole 10 years? About $4 mil.”
“Yeah, I think about $4 mil. Early on, we were doing it for free. Then we hit a little lick, Spotify. Then n*ggas left, the building crumbled a little bit. My friends came to save the day. Probably about three and a half to four and a half mil.”
He added, “Years of hard work, y’all can do it to. It’s not unachievable. This is not unimaginable. If you work hard and keep your head down to the finish line, and just focus on your content.”
The Joe Budden Podcast was previously named I’ll Name This Podcast Later. Previous co-hosts include Rory Farrell, Jamil ‘Mal’ Clay and Marisa Mendez.
