Joe Budden claims Tupac Shakur would "end" Biggie and Nas in a rap battle

Rapper and American media personality Joe Budden has claimed that Tupac Shakur would destroy Nas and The Notorious B.I.G in a hypothetical Verzuz battle. The former Slaughterhouse man delivered this take during a recent edition of the Joe Budden Podcastas Budden and co-hosts Ish, Ice and Parks debated the outcome of a catalogue contest between 2Pac and Nas.

At first, Budden was reluctant to share his opinion saying, “I don’t want to answer; they gonna say I’m hating on Nas”, however, before long, he revealed that he believes Pac would “end” Nas and Notorious B.I.G. in the Verzuz ring.

“Alright, now that y’all have progressed the conversation, I’m a say this and I’m a put my shoes on while I say it,” he said. “‘Cause y’all are right: I think ‘Pac would end Nas in a Verzuz. [‘Pac] would end Big in a Verzuz, bad.”

Ish agreed: “‘Pac had some diverse albums, y’all. He gave you some shit for the girls, some shit for the n-ggas, some shit for the street n-ggas, some shit for some conscious n-ggas.” Ice even added: “He might even get [Nas] with Greatest Hits disc one.”

During the conversation, Budden claimed that 2Pac‘s famous four-album streak that started with 1993’s Strictly 4 My N.-.G.G.A.Z. and ended with 1996’s Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory is better than Nas’ back catalogue or Biggie’s two studio albums.

“Big died too soon to play with ‘Pac,” he continued. “Ready to Die and Life After Death is not enough to [beat ‘Pac]. And ‘Pac got them same four albums I’m talking about? I just don’t know. I won’t disrespect Big like that — rest in peace to ‘Pac and Big – but the more I think about it…”

Attention then turned to Jay-Z, with Budden and Ish agreeing that El Presidente would definitely have the minerals to beat 2Pac in a Verzuz battle, although it would be close contest. “Hov got too many features and he lived too long,” Budden concluded.
