Jeremih diagnosed with serious medical condition

R&B singer Jeremih has been diagnosed with a serious health issue.

The 38-year-old singer was set to join B2K and Bow Wow on the road for their Boyz 4 Life Tour this year, but has been forced to drop out.

Over the weekend, Jeremih’s team took to his Instagram account to inform his 2.6 million followers about his health problems.

“Due to a serious medical condition, Jeremih will be unable to participate in the upcoming B2K tour scheduled to begin in March,” the message wrote. “He has been dealing with a health issue, and his condition continues to be closely monitored by his doctor.”

It continued, “Jeremih and his team are focused on his care and recovery and are deeply grateful for the understanding, patience, and continued support from fans, partners, and the touring team during this time.”

The Boyz 4 Life Tour celebrates 25 years of the B2K, having released their debut single ‘Uh Huh’ in 2001. Despite Jeremih being removed from the lineup, special guests will still include Waka Flocka Flame, Amerie, Yung Joc, Crime Mob, Franchise Boyz, and Pretty Ricky.

The tour will take place across the US, with stops in Atlanta, Memphis, Chicago, Washington D.C., Houston, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Detroit, and many other cities.

Jeremih was previously diagnosed with multisystem inflammatory syndrome in 2020. During an interview in 2022, he opened up about being hospitalised and relearning to walk.

“They had me going through not only physical therapy – I was on dialysis, they kept telling me things were gonna get worse. All my vitals,” he told People. “The things they were telling me about, it seemed like problems that senior citizens have.

He continued, “When I went to dialysis, it was a whole bunch of beeping, I didn’t know what was really going on. Everybody in there was coughing, everybody was masked up, and I just felt like, ‘I’m not supposed to be here.’ But apparently, what was going on was a little more sincere and deeper than I knew about.”
