Jennifer Lopez refuses to discuss Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

The allegations surrounding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remain the biggest story in hip-hop and likely will be for the foreseeable future. Now, it seems that everyone who has ever come into contact with him has something to say about him and the accusations levelled against the music mogul.

Most A-list celebrities have remained eerily quiet, and people who have previously been extremely close to him seem to be hiding away until the trial. That said, actor and singer Jennifer Lopez, who was Combs’ girlfriend at the turn of the millennium, recently made it clear she has no desire to speak or hear about the Bad Boy founder.

Combs and Lopez dated between 1999 and 2001, and for the two years that they were an item, it looked like they were hip-hop’s new power couple. The singer’s ex-husband recently claimed that Lopez began falling under the influence of Combs when she was working on her 1999 project, On The 6. Still, this is a period of her life that she has left in the past.

As such, Lopez is declining to answer questions about the mogul across the board. That said, the ‘Get Right’ vocalist was recently signing autographs while promoting her new movie Unstoppable. Still, during the event, a fan decided to ask Lopez about her former boyfriend.

A video clip of the exchange recently surfaced on social media, where one fan asks, “J.Lo, do you have any comments about Diddy and the allegations?” But this small question led Lopez to stop signing autographs and immediately exit the venue, with the fans screaming, “Don’t Leave!”

The 55-year-old’s representative has not yet responded to questions about the debacle, but she has spoken many times about Combs openly. In 2011, she spoke with Vanity Fair about the incarcerated musician, stating, “We broke up many times (before that), and got back together and broke up again, and nobody knew about it. t was very tempestuous. Towards the end, it was emotionally exhausting. It was good that I was young.”

Although Lopez and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs never tied the knot, she regularly recalled how the emcee saw them as married, telling Rolling Stone, “He told me many times, ‘I want a divorce. I would be away a lot, or he would…he couldn’t go far, whatever, but he would say, ‘So, where do I send the paper?'”

Combs and Diddy haven’t had a relationship since 2001, and following the Press Play creator’s arrest earlier this year, it is highly unlikely they will ever cross paths again.
