Jay-Z and Beyoncé purchase most expensive home in California history

It has been reported that after Beyoncé returns home from her presently underway ‘Renaissance World Tour’, she will do so to an extremely luxurious new property.

TMZ reports that Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z have just purchased a 30,000 square ft home in Malibu, California, for a state-recording-breaking price of $200million.

Per the publication, it is allegedly the largest real estate transaction in the state’s history, surpassing the previous record set at $177 million. Not finished with the accolades, this makes it the second most expensive real estate deal for a home in the country’s history, behind a $238million transaction for a property in New York City.

It is also reported that Beyoncé and Jay-Z got a deal on their new home, as it was originally listed for $295 million. The house was designed by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando, with its previous owner, the art collector William Bell, spending 15 years building the all-concrete structure it now has. It sits on 8 acres overlooking Malibu’s Paradise Cove.

The new purchase is the second the couple have purchased in recent times. In 2017, they bought a Bel-Air mansion for $88 million and refurbished it so it is valued much more than $100 million.
