Jay-Z announces additional London and Los Angeles concerts
Jay-Z has announced additional London and Los Angeles shows for his tour.
Hov was already set to perform in the two cities later this year, but has now revealed further dates due to high demand.
The Brooklyn rapper is scheduled to perform in London on September 5th and Los Angeles on October 24th. Pre-sale goes live on July 29th at 1pm local time, with general sale going live on July 30th at 10am local time.
The London show, taking place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, will take place the night after the original September 4th date. The second Los Angeles concert will also take place at SoFi Stadium, following the first on October 23rd.
An Instagram post from Roc Nation read, “The celebration continues across two more nights. Due to unprecedented demand, new dates for JAŸ-Z 30 have been added.”
The announcement continues, “A career spanning three decades. A catalogue that shaped generations. A limited run of global events celebrating an unparalleled legacy.”
Jay is celebrating 30 years since the release of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, in June 1996. So far this year, he’s headlined Roots Picnic in Philadelphia and performed three shows at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York City.
One of the shows was completely dedicated to Reasonable Doubt, performing classics such as ‘Can’t Knock the Hustle’, ‘Dead Presidents II’, ‘Politics as Usual’, and ‘Feelin’ It’. He brought out his wife, Beyoncé, and daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, as well as Nas, Alicia Keys, Memphis Bleek, and Jaz-O.
Released on Roc-A-Fella Records and distributed by Priority Records, Reasonable Doubt debuted at number 23 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was certified platinum in 2006.
In addition to the upcoming London and Los Angeles shows, he’s set to perform at Stade de France in Paris on September 10th.
