Jay Electronica calls for Sean ‘Diddy Combs’ to be released from prison
Jay Electronica has called for Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs freedom during a recent concert.
Combs is currently behind bars at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey after being found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was sentenced to four years and two months in prison in October.
However, Electronica believes the Bad Boy boss is innocent. During a live show, Jay-Z’s protégé voiced his support for the incarcerated rapper.
“Free Puff, by the way,” he said. “They tried to hang my dawg on some bullshit. Just ’cause a n*gga like to get nasty, they tried to hit him with the book of words.”
Electronica released his surprise album, A Written Testimony: Leaflets, in September 2025. On the song ‘Four Billion, Four Hundred Million 4,400,000,000 / The Worst Is Yet to Come’, he claimed he lived with Combs.
In the lyrics, he raps, “I was living with Puff and Cash, and never showed up in the affidavit/ I’m a smoother criminal than Michael Jackson, maybe.”
On the same album, Combs appears on the intro of ‘Abracadabra’ with a message about hip-hop.
“Hip-hop is in a very, very dangerous place, you know,” he says. “Give them that shit, you know what I’m saying? Live at they souls, lift up they vibration. That’s what God sent you here to do, you know? That’s why we wait so long. We wait for things that are good ‘cause good things come to those who wait.”
Electronica previously showed his support for Combs by appearing outside the courthouse alongside his Great Danes.
