Jadakiss says Kanye West used to be "awesome" but isn't anymore

In a recent appearance on The Adam Friedland Show, Yonkers rapper and Lox legend Jadakiss opened up about his former collaborator and friend Kanye West and shared some personal opinions about his new music and mental state.

In conversation with the podcast host, Fridland admitted that he was a fan of the 2011 Kanye West and Jay-Z track ‘N*ggas In Paris’ and asked Jada his thoughts on the song, to which the emcee replied, “it was a good song.”

However, the D Block lyricist unveiled that he believes West has a severe case of split personality disorder and disclosed that whenever he has worked with Kanye, he has always received a different version of West and never knows what he is going to get when he walks into the studio.

Carefully revealing that he thinks the College Dropout rapper has changed a little bit and has become slightly unhinged, Jadakiss stated, “I’ve met like five or six different Kanye’s,” Kiss said. “The first four [were] awesome. The last two [were] a little bit…”

He proceeded to confess that he’s met multiple versions of the kooky creative over the years, and West’s most recent personalities weren’t all that fun to be around. Jadakiss’ last interaction with Kanye was when the producer and rapper asked him to lay down a verse for the Donda track ‘Jesus Lord Pt. 2’ alongside Jay Electronica, Swizz Beatz and his LOX crewmates Styles P and Sheek Louch.

Elaborating on how West reached out to Jadakiss and his Lox counterparts, Jadakiss explained, “Someone from Ye’s camp actually reached out to my older son. Then Ye called us the next day after Verzuz, he hit me the next morning. We flew straight there and went straight to the studio and knocked the song out.”

Following Ye’s 2018 comments about the slave trade, his public tantrums about Pete Davidson and his 2022 meltdown on Infowars, Jadakiss revealed that for years West was “awesome.” However, nowadays, he is a bit of an embarrassment.
