Jada Pinkett Smith accused of threatening to kill Will Smith’s best friend
Jada Pinkett Smith has been sued for $3 million over claims she threatened to kill a close friend of her husband, Will Smith.
A man named Bilaal Salaam, who claims to be Will’s “best friend for nearly 40 years,” filed the lawsuit on November 7th.
According to the New York Post, Salaam alleges that Jada issued threats against him for sharing details about her private life. He claims that Jada confronted him at Will’s birthday party at the Regency Calabasas Common in California on September 25th, 2021.
The documents read, “While in the lobby, Jada Pinkett Smith approached Plaintiff with approximately seven members of her entourage, became verbally aggressive, and threatened Plaintiff by stating that if he continued ‘telling her personal business,’ he would ‘end up missing or catch a bullet,’ and demanded he sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) ‘or else.'”
Not only that, but Salaam alleges Jada’s associate followed him to his vehicle and verbally threatened him.
After Will famously slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars in 2022, Salaam claims “a retaliatory campaign” was launched against him for refusing to help with crisis management. He said that he refused to perform tasks he “believed were illegal, unethical, or morally compromising.”
Salaam also claims that a manager of Jada’s threatened him over a planned memoir. He was allegedly told to “work something out” and “end this feud before you get physically hurt.”
He claims Jada ruined his image and that his health deteriorated as a result of her “malicious, intentional, and reckless conduct.” Salaam also claims he suffered financial loss and emotional trauma.
In 2023, Salaam alleged he caught Will having sex with actor Duane Martin. However, a representative for Will denied the claims.
