J. Cole's new album ‘The Off Season’ is arriving next week

J. Cole has confirmed that his new album, The Off-Season, is arriving next week.

The new record will be the first release from Cole since 2018, a time when he shared his fifth album KOD. There has been a great deal of speculation surrounding Cole’s forthcoming record, and it has long been rumoured to be named The Fall Off, after the final track on KOD is titled ‘1985 (Intro To The Fall Off)’.

However, the North Carolina artist has been teasing ‘The Off-Season’ since 2018 and first mentioned it in the YouTube caption for ‘Album Of The Year (Freestyle)’, which read: “The Off Season coming soon… All roads lead to The Fall Off.”

In December 2020, Cole then posted a notebook on social media with plans for The Fall Off Era, which we now find ourselves in. The rapper’s post propositioned the project, which began with The Off-Season, and features an upcoming idea; It’s A Boy, as well as the series finale, The Fall Off.

The rapper has finally confirmed that his sixth record will be arriving at long last on May 14th, putting fans’ three-year wait for a new album to an end. Cole took to his social media accounts to instruct fans, announcing: “Just know this was years in the making.”
