How many kids does Snoop Dogg have?

Snoop Dogg, following the passing of his 10-month-old granddaughter, recently posted on Instagram to convey his love for his family.

He shared a photo of himself and his daughter Cori Broadus, the baby’s mother, as well his two sons Corde and Cordell. Cori, Corde and Cordell are Snoop’s children with his wife, Shante, but he has a son from another relationship, too. His name is Julian.

Corde is the eldest of Snoop’s children, born in 1994. He has attempted to follow his dad into the rap music business, performing under the name of Kalvin Love.

Snoop and Shante’s second child, Cordell, was born three years after Corde, arriving in February 1997. Cordell was a keen American footballer growing up, and he even pursued a career in the sport for a period. He eventually quit to focus on other pursuits, including in music, filmmaking and business.

Snoop’s third child arrived outside of his marriage to Shante. Julian Broadus was born in 1998 to a woman named Laurie Helmond. Snoop, ultimately, returned to Shante and ensured his family with her persevered, but he was active in his third son’s life. Julian has reportedly pursued a career in tech and business.

Snoop’s only daughter, Cori, arrived in 1999, and she, too, has attempted to forge a music career under then name Choc. She is also an entrepreneur.

Speaking about his children to People in 2007, Snoop stressed that he took his role as a father to these children very seriously.

“Ninety percent of rappers grew up without fathers, but you see ninety percent of those rappers becoming fathers to their kids,” he said. “We don’t ever get commended for that. We become real men when we get to this level we’re at right now.”

Snoop’s children have also brought him several grandchildren, whom he has expressed love for on social media through the years. He has also a musical computer-animated show for children on YouTube called Doggyland.
