Gucci Mane has announced a date for his new album

In the past week, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane has gifted his fans with two music delights. The emcee (real name Radric Davis) has been teasing his fans with the release of an album. However, he has confirmed that his new project, Breath Of Fresh Air, will be available on all streaming platforms in October. Davis coupled this latest announcement with a new single featuring his Atlanta counterpart Lil Baby.

The trap music pioneer recently took to social media to and specified that October 13th would be the date that his followers will be able to hear his new body of work, which is a follow-up to his 2019 album, Woptober II. Although Davis dropped a collaborative album with 1017 in 2021 entitled So Icy Boyz, Breath Of Fresh Air is a solo project.

Late last year, following the death of Atlanta rapper Takeoff, Gucci Mane signed and dropped an artist named Baby Racks. The parting of ways was due to a tweet Racks made about Houston following Takeoff’s murder in the city that read, “I’m definitely not fw Houston after DONT BOOK ME CAUSE BABY RACKS AINT COMING.” Followed by, “Y’all mad cause I said I ain’t coming to Houston lmao fuck Houston.”

As co-founder of the label 1017, which birthed artists such as Young Thug and Waka Flocka Flame, Davis has always been loyal to Atlanta and an integral part of the city’s hip-hop scene. That said, it is no surprise he has recently released a single alongside Lil Baby, one of the primary torch-bearers of the region, in 2023.

The song, called ‘Bluffin’, was produced by Kuttabeatz and is somewhat a part two to the pair’s 2022 collaboration for ‘All Dz Chainz’. The dark trap song has all the signifiers of a classic Atlanta hip-hop song boasting gritty 808s with a healthy dose of Autotune on the vocals. The lyrics of Gucci Mane’s verse sees him jab music executive Wack 100 as he raps, “I want my M’s up to one, two, three, four, five one-hundred / I ain’t arguin’ on no internet, I’m not Wack100!”

Wack 100 has caught wind and has assured fans that he will drop a diss track for Gucci himself. Addressing Davis, he took to social media, writing, “You dissed me huh ..I heard dat shit .. Wack100 Diss track response coming in 2 days ‘KNOCK OFF GUCCI’ IM REALY THE MANE‼️”

The music video for this latest track was shot in Las Vegas. This single follows other collaborations that Gucci has released this year alongside the likes of Roddy Rich, Nardo Wick, 06 Gucci, DaBaby, 21 Savage, and Kodak Black. You can hear ‘Bluffin’ in the video below.
