
Georgia rapper arrested outside nightclub on murder charges
Georgia rapper Lil Toonk has been arrested outside a club where he was performing.
The 18-year-old (real name Tavorian Lindsey) was taken into custody at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on July 11th.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, a homicide warrant was issued for his arrest. He was charged with six counts of felony murder, two counts of criminal attempt to commit a felony, and four counts of aggravated assault.
During the arrest, police officers reportedly found rifles and a handgun, along with other alleged evidence.
In a statement, Sheriff Brad White said, “The successful apprehension of this homicide suspect is a direct result of the strong partnership between our agencies and the dedication of the men and women who serve our communities every day.”
He added, “We are proud to assist our law enforcement partners in bringing violent offenders into custody safely.”
WSBTV reported that Toonk was behind bars relating to an incident that took place on May 6th, 2024. He was arrested on Crawford Road near Club Rendezvous in Barnesville.
Toonk is from Lithonia, Georgia. He’s best known for his song ‘Traumatized’, which has over 1.3 million Spotify streams.
In the song, he raps, “Free Big Ju, we finally doin’ right, made a livin’ off prison packages/ Oh, OK, fast cars and shit, no, can’t lie, my life is lit/ If the rap don’t work, then I won’t go broke, I’ll make a hoe pay for dick/ The white folks want me for them M’s, so I’m really plenty rich.”
He released his latest album, Make Griffith Great Again, in March 2025, which served as the follow-up to his debut album, Out Alive, in October 2024.
