Fugitive rapper taunts police: “Catch me if you can”

UK drill rapper Dsavv is taunting police after escaping from prison twice in the space of a week.

The 21-year-old artist headed to social media over the weekend to share a snippet of a new song in the studio.

In the lyrics, Dsavv brags about breaking out of custody not once, but twice, and setting a challenge for law enforcement officers to find him.

He raps, “Done it twice, now they think I’m insane,” and “Catch me if you can, I’m in a Wray towards the plane.”

Dsavv previously posted new music on February 17th, writing on Instagram, “I’m free.” In the song, he bragged, “I just broke out of jail like Modie/ Fuck the government, fam, they’re phoneys.”

The OFB rapper (real name Daniel Boakye) escaped from University Hospital Lewisham earlier this month.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police read, “We are searching for a 21-year-old man who absconded from Lewisham hospital at around 15:05hrs on Sunday, 15 February. Daniel Boakye was in police custody at the hospital receiving medical treatment when he fled. Officers gave chase but could not detain Boakye before he left the building.”

It continued, “He is 21-years-old, black, of medium height and slim build. He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a dark Nike jacket when he absconded. We are currently reviewing this incident to fully understand the events which unfolded. The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware.”

The popular rapper previously escaped from West Middlesex University Hospital on February 10th before being captured on February 12th.

He was found in Thamesmead in south east London and arrested on suspicion of escaping from lawful custody and aggravated burglary.
