Freddie Gibbs escalates beef with Benny The Butcher

The hostile relationship between Freddie Gibbs and Benny The Butcher has worsened further after the pair took more shots at each other.

Earlier this month, things began to heat up when Benny appeared on Spotify Greenroom’s Most Necessary and spoke about their lack of a relationship. Although they worked with each other on ‘Frank Lucas’ and ‘One Way Flight’, Benny said that it “came and went” between the pair.

Gibbs has now responded on Instagram and said, “N**** said ‘working with Freddie Gibbs came and went.’ I know some other shit that came and went too, n****”.

“Just keep my name out y’all mouth, man, when y’all talking to people who are doing interviews and shit. Just say ‘next question, man. I don’t want to talk about that n****, man.’ Just say ‘next muthafucking question.’ For real.”

On Friday evening, Benny seemingly responded to the comments by Gibbs and tweeted: “I never seen these n***** tough nowhere but the internet”.

Gibbs then did a shout-out to Houston, where Benny was shot during a robbery in 2020. The rapper also said that he was previously asked to make a joint album with Benny The Butcher.

He continued: “N***** whole marketing plan for they album is to beef with Freddie Gibbs. That’s cute,” he wrote, before adding, “If u opened for me before just be grateful.”

“Why would I beg a n***** to work with me when he do less than me? Next time just get the Drake verse cleared and u ain’t gotta do all this for promo.”

Gibbs added: “Head up fade solve everything. But y’all n***** ain’t got the nuts to sit in a room alone with me for 5 min.”
