Fivio Foreign arrested for allegedly threatening woman with gun

Fivio Foreign has quietly been in jail since January after being hit with five charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, terroristic threats and aggravated assault. The Brooklyn rapper, whose real name is Maxie Lee Ryles III, was arrested on New Year’s Day after allegedly threatening a woman with a gun.

The woman reportedly asked Foreign to jumpstart her car in Edgewater, New Jersey, on January 1st when the 34-year-old allegedly pointed a firearm at her and said, “If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a fucking problem.”

Witnesses immediately recognised Foreign and called 911 before giving extensive statements to officers later. Edgewater Police allege he was spotted in surveillance footage from a block of flats, corroborating the alleged victim’s story.

According to TMZ, Foreign has been behind bars since January 18th. His representative, Adam Lustberg, said he expects the rapper to be released in a few months. Lustberg claims police never found a gun on the rapper and that it’s one of the “flimsiest” cases he’s seen in his legal career.

Foreign previously experienced legal trouble in 2021 after being caught with a loaded gun. He ran when confronted by police and was charged with possession of weapons for unlawful purposes, resisting arrest —eluding officer, possession of a defaced firearm, illegal possession of weapons without a permit and fugitive from justice.

The ‘City of Gods’ artist released his debut album, B.I.B.L.E., on Columbia Records in 2022. The project debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 chart, with 29,000 units in its first week. Appearances on the album came from Kanye West, A$AP Rocky, Quavo, Lil Yachty, DJ Khaled, Lil Tjay, Polo G, Blueface and others.

Despite going three years without an album, Foreign dropped a mixtape titled Pain & Love 2 last year. It included 10 tracks featuring Meek Mill, Swae Lee, Sheff G, Popcaan, Vory and Rowdy Rebel.
