Dallas rapper FBG Murda shot multiple times in Texas altercation

Dallas rapper FBG Murda has reportedly been shot multiple times. The rapper (real name Cayto Rivers) was involved in an incident in the city of Irving, Texas, on August 26th.

Footage surfaced of the rapper opening a car door and falling to the ground while shouting, “I can’t walk. Help me, I’m shot.”

Murda was taken to a local hospital to receive treatment. A spokesperson for the Irving Police Department told the Dallas Observer that he was shot at around 2pm in the 1000 block of East Irving Boulevard.

However, in their statement, Murda is described as a suspect and not a victim. “Preliminary investigation revealed that a dispute between two customers (suspects) and the business owners (victims) escalated into a physical altercation,” the IPD said. “The suspects had entered a restricted area of the muffler shop.

“When confronted and asked to leave, they became verbally aggressive and brandished firearms. To prevent the suspects from drawing their weapons, the victims physically restrained them. During the struggle, the suspects threatened to shoot the victims.

“As one victim held onto a suspect, the suspects attempted to flee in a vehicle, dragging the victim alongside. During this altercation, a firearm was discharged, and one suspect was struck.”

Police named 21-year-old Elijah Jacobs as a suspect alongside Murda. The rapper remains in the hospital and is set to be taken to jail upon his release. Both men have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

FBG Murda has over 109,000 followers on Instagram. He’s best known for his Bak Jay collaboration ‘D to Da Murda’, which has over 11.5 million Spotify streams. Their other song, ‘3am in the Yams’, also boasts more than 4.5 million streams on the streaming platform.
