Eminem walks a legendary boxer to the ring in Las Vegas

Detroit rapper Eminem made a surprise appearance in Las Vegas recently as he walked the legendary welterweight boxer Terence Crawford to the ring for his title fight. Crawford had announced to fans on social media that he had chosen Slim Shady’s ‘Lose Yourself’ as his walk-on music. However, it turned out Em was a fan of his.

The 2002 song from the movie 8 Mile is one of Crawford’s favourite tracks. However, behind the scenes, Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers) and the fighter decided to join forces as, much to the audience’s surprise, Mathers emerged alongside Crawford to walk to the ring.

As Crawford walked up to the ring on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena, Mathers grabbed the mic and screamed, “Las Vegas, make some noise for the next undisputed welterweight champion of the world.”

This dynamic duo followed not only the announcement that he would be playing ‘Lose Yourself’ but also a question to fans asking who should accompany him to the ring on the night. Beginning the conversation, Crawford stated, “I think it would be dope to have Eminem walk me out.”

However, the boxer didn’t expect the Detroit lyricist to respond. In the comments shortly after the post was made, Mathers wrote, “This is 2 crazy.!!! You r 1 of my favourite boxers rn!”

However, this isn’t the ‘Stan’ rapper’s first surprise appearance this year. Earlier this month, the emcee joined Ed Sheeran onstage during a Detroit concert for the singer’s ‘Mathematics’ world tour.

The two performed an impromptu rendition of ‘Lose Yourself’, and fans went wild for the live surprise collaboration. Eminem is a fantastic live performer, but his latest appearance at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas really took fans aback.

The fight between Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. ended with a huge ninth-round knockout, after which Crawford arrogantly declared, “They said I wasn’t good enough and I couldn’t beat these welterweights.”
