Eminem opens 'Mom's Spaghetti' restaurant and 'The Trailer' gift shop

Eminem’s never shied away from his trailer park upbringing, and he’s named his new Detroit merch store ‘The Trailer’, in an ode to his background. The gift shop features in his meme-ready restaurant, ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’.

The trailer he grew up in is the place where Eminem made the decision to become Slim Shady, and even though his life couldn’t look any more starkly different from his childhood, Marshall Mathers’ latest business move shows that he still recognises that trailer park kid inside of himself.

“Mom’s Spaghetti it’s alllllll ready Detroit!” he wrote in the caption announcing the venture on Twitter. “Come thru Wednesday. Info on the site.”

Meanwhile, Slim’s manager Paul Rosenberg said, “We’ve had a lot of fun putting this project together with the folks at Union Joints, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

“The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ spot that would be open all year long.

“We are really pleased to announce the arrival of the walk-up restaurant and adjacent upstairs store, called ‘The Trailer’, where fans can experience a uniquely-curated environment and obtain merch and other items from Eminem and his new pasta operation.”

On Friday evening, an advert was even premiered on local Detroit television, which followed the theme of ‘Lose Yourself‘, where the name from ‘Mom’s Spaghetti’ derives from.
