Eminem recruits Jack Harlow, Cordae for ‘Killer’ remix

Eminem has enlisted the help of Jack Harlow and Cordae for a remix of ‘Killer’.

The original track appears on the deluxe edition of Shady’s 11th studio album, Music to Be Murdered By – which arrived last December. The new effort sees Slim go bar for bar with his younger recruits, with Harlow showing off his admiration for Eminem on his verse.

Harlow raps: “I used to rock a toboggan/Headphones around my neck trying to be like Shady. Later, he raps, “I’m on a song with my idol/I’m a cold-blooded version of the song title.”

Meanwhile, Cordae also finds himself in a reflective mood as he goes, “I’m in this moment in my life where shit is falling in line/And looking back, I swear to God, you’d think it all was designed.”

Eminem brings the fire to his verse too, “My sentences are harsh, every single bar’s like a verdict/I say it with conviction, but this time you’re not gonna serve it/But as soon as I read it, you know that you’re about to get murdered” and continues with a rapid-fire flow.

Shady first teased the announcement on Tuesday, retweeting the recent Saturday Night Live sketch featuring Pete Davidson and Harlow parodying his ‘Without Me’ video while attempting to explain what an NFT is.

“I’ve been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on,” said Eminem.

“Not much has changed for me as an adult… I’ve attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life, and I know I’m not alone. I wanted to give this drop the same vibe of, ‘Oh, man I gotta get just that one or maybe even the whole set!’ It’s been a lot of fun coming up with ideas from my own collecting passion.”
