Eminem and Snoop Dogg squash beef after Dr Dre’s aneurysm

Slim Shady and Snoop Dogg have had a tenuous relationship over the years according to Eminem. Speaking to his manager Paul Rosenberg for his podcast Paul Pod, the ‘Crack A Bottle’ rapper explained that the discord began with Snoop’s appearance on ‘Bitch Please II’, a track on Eminem’s 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP that also featured Dr Dre and Xzibit.

Divulging how their fairly dormant feud began with a simple misunderstanding, Eminem revealed, “I think that there was a miscommunication at the time in regards to him being on my album.” The rapper continued, “I think he had wanted to do something with me, and you said something to the effect of, ‘Well, let’s hear what the song is first,’ and he said the way that he took it was… that I don’t fuck with him.”

The ‘Stan’ rapper (real name Marshall Mathers) then went on to clarify how Snoop had completely misinterpreted the situation revealing that he actually loves Snoop Dogg as he declared, “‘Doggystyle’ changed my life…[I’ve] looked up to him forever”.

Mathers went on to explain that it actually took Dr Dre’s brain aneurysm for the two to clear up the misunderstanding. As a close friends of Dre, Eminem revealed that he felt it was important that they show a united front to help their friend through what was a near-death predicament.

Recalling how the two finally settled the situation Shady revealed that the two actually reached out simultaneously to each other following the tragic news. Mathers expounded, “When that thing happened with Dre, we were like, ‘Bro, this is stupid,’” Eminem said. “This is stupid as hell to be feuding right now.”

Since settling the feud the two are close and have even made appearances together with both rappers appearing at Snoop’s Superbowl half-time show. You can hear more about it in the video below.
