Eminem among special guests on Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg’s new album

Snoop Dogg‘s upcoming joint album with Dr Dre, Missionary, is exciting many fans and the release of its tracklist is making those waiting even more eager to hear the project. Snoop had previously confirmed that country singer Jelly Roll would be appearing on the project, and now it has been Eminem will feature on the body of work.

On October 31st, the tracklist emerged as the album was made available for pre-sale on Apple Music, and a host of big names surfaced. As well as Eminem, his longtime friend and collaborator 50 Cent will also deliver a verse on the song ‘Gunz N Smoke.’

The track will be the first time that the three MCs have all featured on the same track. Snoop worked with 50 Cent on the ‘P.I.M.P. (remix)’ in 2003, and, as many know, Em and Snoop released a joint album in 2022, From The D 2 The LBC.

Although Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent as artists all cultivated by Dr Dre haven’t recorded music together they have definitely performed together. In fact, they did so in 2022 for Dre’s iconic Super Bowl Half Time Show set where they each performed their respective hits.

Missionary is of a decent length and boasts 15 tracks, and, aside from Eminem and 50 Cent, the album will also see verses from Method Man, Jelly Roll, Sting, Tom Petty, Jhené Aiko and BJ The Chicago Kid. Jelly Roll and Tom Petty contribute to the song ‘Last Dance with Mary Jane’. An undoubtedly strange name for a song by Snoop Dogg.

There are also some lesser-known artists on the project, including DMV lyricist K.A.A.N., Chicago rapper Fat Money (who contributed to Kanye West‘s Donda 2 and Vultures 1) and the exciting singer Cocoa Sarai.

Jhené Aiko will add her soft, silky vocals to ‘Gorgeous,’ which will be released on November 1st as the lead single. The album will arrive in its entirety on December 13th and will be put out by Death Row, Aftermath and Interscope. Three powerhouse music labels.

In addition to the tracklist, the cover artwork for Missionary was also revealed recently, which shows a black and gold condom wrapper that promises “aural pleasure.” An unsurprisingly humorous image from Snoop Dogg.

Missionary is being released as Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg’s first collaborative album since 1993 when the pair released the iconic G-funk masterpiece Doggystyle. There is excitement in the air, and every hip-hop fan now eagerly awaits. You can see the tracklist of the project below.
