Earl Sweatshirt releases new music video for 'The Caliphate'

Former Odd Future member and Doris creator Earl Sweatshirt has released new visuals for his track ‘The Caliphate’ alongside fellow California rapper Vince Staples as the pair reunite for an exciting new single.

Earlier this year, Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist released their exciting collaborative album Voir Dire via Gala Music. However, fans, the project is getting an exciting re-release, including a slew of exclusive tracks, one of which will be ‘The Caliphate.’

Furthermore, the new edition will include two other previously unreleased tracks, ‘Heatchec'” and ‘Mancala.’ All of the latest tracks are Alchemist-produced anthems and will be available on streaming services from October 6th.

Earl Sweatshirt and Vince Staples have been collaborating ever since the former burst onto the scene in the early-2010s. Vince appeared on the 2010 Earl mixtape and the 2013 Doris single ‘Hive’, which has since become a fan favourite.

Vince Staples has also featured Earl Sweatshirt on many of his projects with a track entitled, ‘New EarlSweatshirt (Interlude)’ on his 2018 album FM! The two have not collaborated on a fully structured track since 2015’s ‘Wool.’

This latest track from Earl Sweatshirt sees him flow over an exciting, atmospheric Alchemist beat, and the black-and-white video sees the creative trio emcee in a strange tropical greenhouse.

Earl Sweatshirt, alongside his partner in crime, The Alchemist, have also recently announced that they will be going on tour alongside MIKE and Black Noi$e. You can watch the music video for ‘The Caliphate’ below.
