Canadian rapper Drake is in a giving mood as he recently decided to give two of his newlywed fans a free trip to the Caribbean islands of Turks & Caicos after hearing that their honeymoon had been cancelled.
The ‘God’s Plan’ emcee, who is currently on his It’s All A Blur tour in Atlanta, noticed a sign in the crowd that read, “We cancelled our honeymoon for this,” and in response, he decided to tell the crowd what he was going to provide in return.
After noticing the placard and recognising the newlyweds’ sacrifice to see him perform, the musician stated, “Since we in Atlanta tonight, and I’m feeling all the love from everybody. One of my favourite places in the world, you know what it is? Some place called Turks and Caicos. I’m a send y’all to Turks and Caicos on a little honeymoon.”
However, the all-expenses paid trip to Turks & Caicos is one of many expensive gifts Drake has bestowed upon his loyal fans. The artist had previously gifted a $10,000 shopping spree and first-class flight to Atlanta to a follower he had seen in the front row of multiple shows.
While performing in Houston, a female told the star that she had worked overtime and delivered an extra 50 Brazilian waxes so that she could purchase a ticket to his show. After hearing this, the Scorpion creator hooked her up with a new Chanel bag.
Following tradition, while in Atlanta, Drake brought out a special guest, this time the early-2000s rapper Bow Wow. However, other celebrities, such as Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young and streamer Kai Cenat, were in attendance at the State Farm Arena show.
After his performance, Drake made sure to shout out Bow Wow, proclaiming, “Shout out my boy Bow Wow. gotta say, Atlanta got a lot of legends, but that’s somebody who I wanted to be like growing up, so shout out to Bow Wizzle.”
