Drake co-signs “fuck Kendrick” chants during Birmingham show
Drake has responded to fans’ anti-Kendrick Lamar chants during his performance in Birmingham. The Toronto rapper performed at Utilita Arena on July 21st, one of several shows on his $ome $pecial $hows 4 UK tour.
At one point in the concert, the crowd supported Drake in his well-documented beef with Kendrick, revealing their dislike of the Compton artist.
Drizzy heard people chanting “fuck Kendrick” and co-signed their comments, replying, “I can’t say that I don’t agree.”
This isn’t the first time Drake has responded to the same chants. During his appearance at Wireless Festival in London earlier this month, he said, “You know what, Chubbs, grab me a shot. I’ll drink to that.” Chubbs is his longtime friend and head of security.
Drake and Kendrick engaged in a brutal rap battle last year, which began with Kendrick’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That’.
From there, they went back and forth with diss tracks like ‘Euphoria’, ‘Push Ups’, ‘Meet the Grahams’, ‘Family Matters’, and most notably, the hit single ‘Not Like Us‘, which made paedophilia allegations against Drake.
Drake released his latest single ‘What Did I Miss?’ earlier this month, debuting at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The song finds Drizzy addressing fake friends after his Kendrick beef.
He raps in the song, “I don’t give a fuck if you love me, I don’t give a fuck if you like me/ Askin’ me, ‘How did it feel?’ Can’t say it didn’t surprise me/ Last time I looked to my right, you n*ggas was standing beside me/How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?/ Let’s go/ What did I miss?”
